New Brighton Venue Gets Blue Box Treatment

We were approached by designer Peter Hayward to install a Funktion One system in the new bar Ink in Brighton’s fashionable Lanes district.

After initial site visits and discussions with Peter and the owners Zoe and Lloyd we settled on the new Res 1.5s (with their revolutionary 5" cone driver mounted on a 90 degree horn and axhead combination) for the main bar area complimented by a plethora of F81s for the smaller areas.

The system provides even distribution of high quality audio throughout the venue and underpins the vibe produced by the resident DJs.

Designer Peter Hayward said:
"I am a DJ myself and I have always loved the clarity and definition of Funktion One so when I was asked to design the new venue it was the natural choice of sound system for me. Fortunately I was able to convince the owners and they are suitably impressed with Blue Box and Funktion One’s delivery."

Real Brighton described the venue thus:
"Ink is tucked discreetly away in the Lanes but is surprisingly spacious with three open plan floors, decorated in funky flock wallpaper, glass and glamour."
