Heavenly Sound

London's legendary gay nightclub HEAVEN has benefited from a Blue Box designed Funktion One system in it's main room for some years. After the addition of the Infrabass and it's accompanying horn arrangement two years ago the then club's technical manager, John Walker opined "I'm not sure there could be a better sound system than this with the range and depth that the Infrabass adds to what was already an amazing system. We’ve had so many comments from customers and from the promoters who come in. There's a vibe about Funktion One that there has never been about any other system brand, and people are much more aware of sound quality than they were in the past. In terms of sound reproduction on the dance floor, it's just streets ahead". More recently Heaven has re vamped one of it's oldest rooms, the sound shaft, which has been reborn as smart members club christened 'The Island'. In this haven Blue Box have installed a split Res 2 system, which they pioneered in the Funktion Rooms in Eastbourne to great acclaim. This consists of 4 Res 2SHs in a quadrilateral arrangement and 4 F218 bass bins in two blocks either side of the exit to the main club. The upstairs VIP has 3 F88s arranged around the curved roof of the arch.

Last summer HEAVEN's Pop Bar was also enhanced by the installation of a similar system, this time with a superblock of 4 F118s in one corner and another Res 2SH quadrilateral arrangement gracing the arch. In March this year the DP VIP lounge was also fitted with the same Blue Box trademark system.
